A FOUNTAIN OF PEACE

Psalm 146
(NIV)
Psalm 146
Praise the LORD .
Praise the LORD , O my soul.
I will praise the LORD all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes,
in mortal men, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD his God,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them-
the LORD , who remains faithful forever.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets prisoners free,
the LORD gives sight to the blind,
the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down,
the LORD loves the righteous.
The LORD watches over the alien
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
The LORD reigns forever,
your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the LORD .

Psalm 146
Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

Salmos 146
Aleluya.
Alaba, oh alma mía, a Jehová.
Alabaré a Jehová en mi vida;
Cantaré salmos a mi Dios mientras viva.
No confiéis en los príncipes,
Ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salvación.
Pues sale su aliento, y vuelve a la tierra;
En ese mismo día perecen sus pensamientos.
Bienaventurado aquel cuyo ayudador es el Dios de Jacob,
Cuya esperanza está en Jehová su Dios,
El cual hizo los cielos y la tierra,
El mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay;
Que guarda verdad para siempre,
Que hace justicia a los agraviados,
Que da pan a los hambrientos.
Jehová liberta a los cautivos;
Jehová abre los ojos a los ciegos;
Jehová levanta a los caídos;
Jehová ama a los justos.
Jehová guarda a los extranjeros;
Al huérfano y a la viuda sostiene,
Y el camino de los impíos trastorna.
Reinará Jehová para siempre;
Tu Dios, oh Sion, de generación en generación.
Aleluya.
2 Corinthians 4: 6--10
(NIV)
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
(Japanese)
(KJV)
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

2 Corintios 4: 6--10
