The profile of Okita Toshiki

Welcome to the World of Toshiki Okita's Sculpture, the Traditional Japanese Art Let me introduce myself. Beginning as my engraver was from arts and crafts of 10 years old. I was greatly influenced of the father. And it went to the fine-arts university in Tokyo. Since then, it has been earnest for the sculpture way as a writer, and has followed and come. Already, the half-century passed. I am unripe. Therefore, as long as it is valid, I continue a walking. 　　 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　The World of Toshiki Okita's Sculpture I make by the thought which serves as dispatch of sensitivity, and introduction of traditional fine arts of Japan in the world as an aesthetic donor. I have been creating the sculptures as realizing that a man cannot live by himself but is kept alive by Mighty Power. In this site I have been introducing Buddha statues, Noh players, creative works, monuments and wood works. 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　Short explanations Buddha statues: Trying to introduce the traditional Japanese mental sensibility and figurative arts which have been taken over from generations to generations. Noh-players: Producing Noh-players for creating the Japanese traditional subtle and profound. Creative works: Creating while having the critical minds on peace, war, justice and human. Monument: Trying to create not an overbearing work but a heartwarming one. Wood works: Trying to create a work which would give peace of mind and plenitude.
